Join Our Team CHAC, Inc. is a private company, created in 1995 to manage the Chicago Housing Choice Voucher Program. The voucher program is a federally-funded housing program that enables low-income families to rent housing on the private market, by paying a portion of their rent each month. CHAC’s mission is become a model for private-public partnerships in the country, by administering the program in a manner that creates housing choice for families, financial benefits for participating owners and economic benefits to the community. Employees at all levels of the company are expected to play a key role in our mission. Our staff members face enormous challenges and responsibilities, as we strive to provide exceptional service to the more than 34,000 families and more than 15,000 property owners that participate in the program. Staff members must be compassionate, efficient and have an outstanding commitment to serving others, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
